Remote monitoring of ichthyofauna by means of artificial vision for the evaluation of passage infrastructure: telematic monitoring in the hydro-screw of the Florida dam (Narcea river).

The implementation of a hydroscrew in La Florida dam, in the Narcea river, raised the need to verify in real operating conditions the longitudinal permeability of the system and the possible effect on the ichthyofauna. In this context, the ICTIOSCREW research project was oriented to the development and implementation of a pilot solution for continuous remote monitoring based on underwater video surveillance and image analysis applied to the associated fish scale.
