At TAXUS MEDIO AMBIENTE, our commitment to innovation and sustainability leads us to actively participate in the most relevant forums of the sector. In recent months, we have strengthened our presence and collaboration in various conferences, congresses and clusters, consolidating our role as a leading consultant in the ecological transition.
The following is a brief review of the meetings that have marked our recent agenda.
🔬 BioSpain 2025
Our colleague Álvaro Fueyo, responsible for the Laboratory and Environmental Genetics area, participated in Biospain 2025, held in Barcelona, within the Asturian delegation composed of companies and institutional representatives.
There we shared our experience in environmental solutions applied to bioindustry. It was an excellent opportunity to learn about new lines of research and establish synergies with companies and technology centers committed to sustainability. This event, the largest in the biotechnology sector in Spain, was the first biotechnology congress we have attended since the opening of our DNA-based molecular biology laboratory.

💡 Innovation Album 2025
Our colleague Laura Cordero, consultant and head of R&D, represented TAXUS in this presentation of the Album of Innovation 2025, a Pavitek initiative dedicated to business innovation, sharing best practices in sustainability and environmental management. An inspiring space to discuss the challenges of the ecological transition from the perspective of the Asturian business community.

🏭 IQPA Cluster
We took part in the meeting “Adaptation to climate change in the Asturian industry”, held in La Granda and organized by the IQPA Cluster on the occasion of its 25th anniversary. Our general manager, Javier Granero, attended this meeting that brought together representatives of the administration, ports and leading companies in the sector.
From TAXUS, we formalize our incorporation to the Chemical and Process Industry Cluster of Asturias (IQPA) as new partners and we reaffirm our commitment to intersectoral collaboration as a way to move towards a greener and more competitive industry. A day that reflects the need to work together to strengthen the resilience of the industry in the face of climate challenges.

🌱 Sustainable SME
We participated in the conference organized by EQA Group, focused on decarbonization and sustainability in SMEs. A meeting that allowed us to share our expertise in the design and implementation of greenhouse gas reduction plans and which emphasized the crucial role of SMEs as a driver of the ecological transition in the productive fabric.

♻️ Circularity 2025 Festival
From Thursday October 23rd to Sunday October 26th we were at the Historic Building of the University of Oviedo in Circularity, an event organized by Clúster Ecco, where we shared how in TAXUS we understand and practice circularity: from strategy to action.
At our stand we presented TAXUS-PEB (Positive Energy Building), a passive, energy-positive and sustainable building, designed for the comfort of people and respect for the environment. This space is a tangible example of how we apply energy efficiency and environmental regeneration in each project.

In addition, on Saturday our Education for Sustainability team delivered the family workshop “Circularity Begins at Home,” an interactive activity in which participants explored a model of the home by scanning QR codes to overcome water, energy and waste challenges. Each completed challenge added sustainable improvements – from solar panels to a domestic wind turbine – making the house increasingly circular. A fun and educational way to bring the principles of the circular economy to young and old, demonstrating that change begins in everyday life.

Commitment Asturias XXI
Finally, we had the pleasure of hosting a meeting at our facilities with members of Compromiso Asturias XXI, in which we discussed the role of talent, innovation and sustainability in regional development. A space for dialogue that strengthens the ties between business, science and society, fundamental pillars of our commitment to Asturias.

💧Presentation ofthe Water Cluster
The Water Cluster of the Principality of Asturias held its 1st General Assembly, an ambitious public-private collaboration project and Javier Granero, our CEO, attended the presentation event. The Cluster is already working to turn water resource management into a vector of innovation and economic development in Asturias. Moreover, this project is fully aligned with the Asturian Government’s strategy to boost the region’s sustainability and resilience to the effects of climate change.

Each of these conferences encourages us to continue advancing in the integration of innovation and sustainability as strategic axes. At TAXUS MEDIO AMBIENTE we continue working to generate positive impact and build, together with our partners and collaborators, a more responsible and resilient future.
