For several years there has been a decline in the dune systems of the Navia beach (Asturias), showing a negative balance of the sedimentary material that makes it up, an aspect that concerns the competent authorities.

Within the scope of the Environmental Surveillance Plan of the historical maintenance dredging carried out in the Navia estuary, periodic topographic surveys of the emerged part of the Navia beach are being carried out.
